Retreats

The Young Friends of New England Yearly Meeting are blessed to have a vibrant retreat program which has been in operation for over 20 years. New England Yearly Meeting has long been committed to its youth programs, and provides supervisory, financial, logistical & spiritual support to ensure the programs' continued vitality & Quaker presence in the lives of New England Yearly Meeting's children. One of the many ways in which New England Yearly Meeting offers support is through the employment of a full-time Young Friends/Young Adult Friends Coordinator, whose responsibility it is to supervise, coordinate and facilitate the retreats.

Retreats are open to youth currently in grades 9-12. For those who are in non-traditional schooling (or no schooling at all), please contact the Coordinator. Young Friends hold six regular retreats each school year, two specialty retreats (one for Young Friends Ministry & Counsel, and one for the graduating class of Young Friends), and have an extensive residential program at the annual Sessions of New England Yearly Meeting in August.
